Have you ever heard of the law of magnetism? It comes from a book called 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership which says, “Who you attract is not determined by what you want; it’s determined by who you are.”It made me think about the different things that we do to maximize our properties and make them magnetic. Our job is to make sure a property is exactly what a person wants, making it magnetic to them and other buyers who want the same thing. Here are a few things to think of when trying to make your home magnetic.
The first is making sure your home is clutter free. We want to get all your personal photos and knick knacks out of your home and into storage.
The second thing we do is make sure your home is clean. We want it to be cleaned meticulously so it shines when buyers come through. You would be amazed at how many properties we visit that aren’t clean. It shows in the offers they get.

Finally, we make sure your home is the right color. There is no one perfect color, but generally buyers like neutral colors that are easy on the eyes. We recently had a home that was filled with baby blue walls. By neutralizing that color, we were able to help it sell for top dollar.
One more thing that we do is neutralize and eliminate any pungent smells. Each home is going to have its own unique scent, but it never hurts to air out the place. Be careful about overdoing it on air fresheners. Cookies or baked goods in the oven will create a pleasant, inviting aroma.
